Food and drug control authorities in each country have issued warnings about the toxic effect potential of using commonly consumed traditional medicines. The safety assurance, standardization, market regulation herbal medicines being sold need to be determined. This study's goal is investigate acute subchronic toxicity cold-processed snakehead fish (Channa striata) flesh. In-vivo rats models were given dosages 350, 1400, 5600 mg/kg processed (SF) monitored for symptoms mortality 14 days. Meanwhile, regarding toxicity, doses 700, 1400 SF administered orally 28 Afterward, animal subjects sacrificed histopathological, hematological, biochemical examinations. There no evidence or during examination, which lasted results showed significant changes most biochemical, histological profiles organs. Some observed blood biochemistry relative organ weight assumed as a temporary not sign toxicity. overall that was non-toxic up mg/kg, can considered safe dose application health supplement raw materials.
